About Us
Based in PASCO County, Florida, BIG HEARTS
Rescue is a non-profit, grass-roots organization that
works with the support of the community and
volunteers to help rescue and rehabilitate needy
animals.
Most animals that Big Hearts rescues are in dire need of medical attention and extensive rehabilitation. Many are found wandering the streets and some have been found in ditches. These precious creatures are generally brought in by Good Samaritans who ask that they be euthanized due to the illness and trauma. But what we have found in these cases is that some tender loving care, good medical treatment, and in time these animals find hope and begin to heal again.
Each animal has their own unique story of courage. But all of them have the same will to find a loving family to be a part of. No matter what their age, all of our fosters show a strong will to bond with a forever family. Please consider adopting one of our precious fosters.
All of our fosters are cared for by volunteer families. This helps in their rehabilitation and they learn to be in a loving home environment. Most are in foster homes with other animals and children so they are generally well rounded to the average home.
