Rainbow Bridge

Adam
Adam is a sweet boy that touched my life in the few months I knew him. He was found as a stray and trapped from a feral colony in the hopes of giving him a good life. We took him from another cat rescue who needed us to work with him more to bring him around to get adopted. We did and after a month of hiding he became one of the most friendly cats we have come across. Adam loved to have his belly rubbed, be held and cuddled, and sleep next to you in bed. I was proud to be his foster mom and honored to be his companion in his last months. I know that he is at the Rainbow Bridge, no longer sick and in pain, with love all around him. Thank you Adam for letting me into your life.

Dusty
Dusty was found in a Rest Area a few volunteers were meeting at to rescue some horses. We did not expect to find him but there he was. The workers there told us he and his best friend (another cat) were abandoned there two weeks earlier and asked us to take him. Dusty's other cat friend had been hit by a car and killed the night before. He joined us on an all day trip to the east side of Florida to pick up three horses. Dusty sat in each of our laps equally and we spoiled him rotten the entire day. Four days later some volunteers found Dusty in our kennel barely alive and we rushed him to the emergency vet. It was found that he ingested something poisonous before we rescued him and it acutely damaged his liver. We tried aggressive treatment to save him but his heart stopped 4 hours later. We cannot tell you how saddened we were to lose Dusty so soon and that we were helpless to stop it. We buried him in a special place at the Farm where we visit him everyday. We hope that Dusty enjoyed four days of love and companionship, and we hope he knew he was a special being to each of us that knew him. We love you so much Dusty and we can't wait to see you again at the Rainbow Bridge.
